Hillary’s concession speech – she’s still the better candidate

Hillary Clinton gave the best speech she’s ever given. It was gracious, humble, and empowering. It was a tribute to all her loyal supporters who were with her to the end. She gave a solid endorsement of Barack Obama. However, I cannot believe that there are arrogant Obama supporters and bloggers who still question her motives and degraded her speech. For them, Obama will always be pure as snow and Clinton will always be evil to the end. I was annoyed that before the speech, media pundits were telling Hillary Clinton what she needed to say to satisfy them. This same media, that spewed hateful and sexist comments against her and was totally in the tank for Barack Obama, was telling Hillary Clinton what to do. That is absolutely laughable. On MSNBC, their top mysogynists and Hillary haters, Chris Matthews and Keith Olbermann, were pontificating about what Hillary Clinton needed to say to prove to them that she was genuinely behind Barack Obama. These are the same men that totally trashed her and took cheap shots at her at every turn. It is absolutely ridiculous. Hillary Clinton is the better candidate and nobody will ever convince me otherwise. However, she left the race with great class and grace. She’s been such an inspiration to so many people as a woman who broke new ground and was a true fighter for the people. Thank you, Hillary!

  1. I’m a 57 year old white woman who hasn’t been supporting Hillary Clinton for months – though I was hoping to when the election season started. I do realize how devastated you must feel in the aftermath of her concession to Obama.

I just listened to Obama’s first economy speech in North Carolina, which was a powerful beginning to the tour he’s embarking on. I hope the Democratic party does come together to support Obama and a new direction for this nation. I hope you will be able appreciate what Hillary has accomplished this year, realize that there’s no time to waste and join the movement that will give voice to all of us.

    Thank you for your passion.
